Volusius Maecianus
Volusius Maeciānus, Lucius
A Roman jurist who was in the consilium of Autoninus Pius, and was one of the teachers of Marcus Aurelius. Maecianus wrote several works; and there are fortytwo excerpts from his writings in the Digest. A treatise De Asse et Ponderibus is attributed to him, but there is some doubt about the authorship. It is edited by Böcking (Bonn, 1831).
